The card is available for any amount from USD 25 to USD 500, so you can pick a value that fits a small thank you, a quarterly bonus or a research incentive. There are no purchase or activation fees, and the balance does not expire.

To redeem, a recipient logs into or creates an Airbnb account at airbnb.com/gift and follows the prompts. The credit is applied automatically when they book. The card is for residents of the 50 US states only, not territories or possessions, and it cannot be reloaded, resold, or redeemed for cash except where the law requires.

Airbnb cards for other countries, including Canada, the UK and Australia, are separate and cannot be used interchangeably. Through GIFQ, you can send US cards in bulk from the dashboard or issue them one at a time through the API, which suits paying out earnings to US workers, rewarding a remote team or thanking customers.
