About DU Prepaid Recharge UAE

DU is one of the two national mobile networks in the United Arab Emirates, and prepaid credit is the default way many residents and workers manage their phone costs. For a business sending rewards or payouts to people in the UAE, a DU top-up is practical before it is exciting: it pays for something the recipient is already paying for, on a network they already use.

The card is sold in five fixed values, all in AED: 25, 55, 110, 210 and 525. There is no custom amount. Credit expires six months after the card is issued, so recipients should apply it to their line soon after receiving it. It works only for DU prepaid mobile recharge. It cannot be used against postpaid bills, home services, or anything else DU sells.

To use it, the recipient dials *135* followed by the card number and # from their DU phone. That applies the full value to their prepaid balance in one go. There is no partial redemption and no combining a card with another payment method. Once a card is issued it cannot be cancelled, replaced or refunded, and an expired card cannot be extended or exchanged.

That makes it a straightforward choice for a UAE workforce that runs on DU prepaid: delivery riders, field teams, temporary staff, research participants, or customers in a promotion where mobile credit is a natural fit. The risk is low because the value is capped and the use is narrow. The limitation is the same narrowness: the card is useless to someone on Etisalat or Virgin Mobile, and it does not cover anything beyond prepaid airtime.

Through GIFQ you can send DU Prepaid Recharge cards one at a time through the API or in batches from the dashboard. A common pattern is paying out small earnings to gig workers or topping up the phones of a distributed team each month. Because the card is single-use and full-value, keep the denomination aligned with what the recipient actually needs: 25 AED covers a basic top-up, while 525 AED is a substantial credit for heavier users.

This card is issued for the United Arab Emirates only, in AED. It will not work on DU accounts in other countries and cannot be converted to another currency.

From product selection to delivery

For a direct order, your business chooses this product, its value and the quantity. Review the card details alongside the recipient’s needs before including it in a bulk order or an integration.

  1. Check the market and value

The card details show the values and currency for this product. Use those to choose an amount that fits your budget and the recipient’s market. For a different country, explore the brand’s other market listings.

  2. Prepare the recipient’s instructions

Review the expiry information shown and the brand’s instructions. Check whether redemption requires an account or a particular channel. Deliver those instructions with the reward so the recipient knows how to use it.

  3. Choose direct ordering or recipient choice

If you need this particular card, order the selected product and value through the dashboard or API. If you want the person to choose the brand, confirm the options available for that payout before presenting the selection.

  4. Start with a small order

Test the flow with a small order and keep its reference. Check the status before repeating a request that appears delayed. In an integration, connect the GIFQ order to your own record so your team can follow up on delivery questions.
