Gap Options gift cards by market

About Gap Options

Gap Options is four clothing brands on one gift card: Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic, and Athleta. A recipient in the United States or Canada can redeem a single balance across all four, in stores and online. That makes it a flexible reward for people with different tastes, from everyday basics to activewear to workwear. GIFQ carries separate Gap Options cards for each country, issued in that country's currency.

GIFQ offers the card in two markets: the United States and Canada. The US card is denominated in USD and you can set any amount from $10 to $500. The Canada card is denominated in CAD and offers fixed denominations of $10, $25, $50, and $100, or any amount from $5 to $500. Both cards have no expiry date, so recipients can use them whenever they are ready.

These are two distinct cards, not one cross-border card. A card issued for the US works only at US stores and US websites, and a card issued for Canada works only at Canadian stores and Canadian websites. When you send to someone, choose the market based on where that person lives and shops. Do not send a US card to someone in Canada; they would not be able to redeem it.

Gap Options is a practical choice for businesses paying people in either country. You can use GIFQ to send these cards in bulk as employee rewards, customer incentives, or research participation payouts, or one at a time through the API for affiliate commissions or freelance earnings. Each card is delivered electronically, and the recipient can use it in store from a mobile device or enter the details online.

The value of this card is the range it gives recipients. Gap and Old Navy cover everyday and casual clothing, Banana Republic covers office and smart wear, and Athleta covers activewear. If you are paying someone whose style you do not know, this covers more ground than a single-brand card. If your recipients are spread across the US and Canada, you can serve them from one GIFQ account while keeping each market's card in the correct local currency.

Choose the card’s market first

This is the brand’s overview page. The options above are products for different markets; open one to review the details that apply to your order.

  1. Start with where it will be redeemed

Choose the option for the country where the card will be used. Each listing has its own redemption coverage, making it easier to find the right product for recipients in different markets.

  2. Compare values and conditions

Currencies, denominations and terms can differ between products from the same brand. Review each market page and its instructions before deciding your selection or calculating the program budget.

  3. Organize orders by product

For a program covering several countries, prepare the product, market, value and quantity needed for each group. Confirm your account pricing and delivery flow before moving from a test to a larger order.

  4. Decide who chooses the brand

With a direct order, your business selects the card. If you would rather let each recipient choose, explore recipient-choice payouts and confirm the products supported for your program.

Frequently asked questions

Which countries is the Gap Options card available in through GIFQ?

GIFQ offers Gap Options cards for the United States and Canada. The US card is in USD and the Canada card is in CAD. Each market has its own card with its own amounts and rules.

Can a Gap Options card bought for the US be used in Canada or vice versa?

No. A US card is redeemable only at Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic, and Athleta stores and websites in the United States. A Canada card is redeemable only in Canada. They are separate products.

How do I choose between the US and Canada card for a recipient?

Choose the market where your recipient lives and shops. If they are in the US, send the US card in USD. If they are in Canada, send the Canada card in CAD. Sending the wrong market means they cannot redeem it.

What amounts can I put on a Gap Options card?

On the US card you can set any amount from $10 to $500 USD. On the Canada card you can set any amount from $5 to $500 CAD, and fixed denominations of $10, $25, $50, and $100 are available. See the market pages for details.

Who is the Gap Options card good for as a reward or payout?

It suits a broad range of recipients because it covers four brands with different styles: everyday basics at Gap, casual wear at Old Navy, workwear at Banana Republic, and activewear at Athleta. It works well for employee rewards, customer incentives, and research payouts in the US and Canada.

Can I send Gap Options cards in bulk or via API through GIFQ?

Yes. You can send multiple cards at once from the GIFQ dashboard, for example to a list of employees or research participants. You can also integrate with the API to send cards one at a time automatically.
