Latvia's version of the Global Hotel Card Powered by Expedia is a euro-denominated prepaid card for hotels, resorts, holiday rentals and private homes around the world. It is issued for recipients in Latvia and is not interchangeable with the cards for Croatia, Estonia, Lithuania, Slovakia or Slovenia.
A business can choose any amount between 50 and 1000 euros. Cards have no expiry.
To use the card, a recipient in Latvia goes to www.globalhotelcard.com, searches for accommodation in euros, and books. They enter the 16-digit card code and 8-digit PIN as full or partial payment. Up to four cards can be combined per booking, with any balance payable by credit card.
