GIFQ offers Kathmandu cards in two markets: Australia and New Zealand. Each card is separate, issued in the local currency and redeemable only in its own country. Australian cards are in AUD and valid for 36 months, with amounts from 20 to 500 AUD. New Zealand cards are in NZD, have no expiry date, and allow any amount from 5 to 1000 NZD. These are the only markets currently available.

Because the Australian and New Zealand cards are distinct, choosing the right one depends on where the recipient will shop. If they live in Australia or will buy from Australian stores or the Australian website, send the Australian card. If they are in New Zealand and will shop there, choose the New Zealand card. A card cannot be used across the border, so it is important to match the card to the recipient's market.

Through GIFQ, businesses can send Kathmandu cards to many recipients at once from the dashboard, or issue cards one at a time via the API. This works for paying earners or contractors in either country, rewarding employees across multiple offices, or incentivising participants in research programs. Each card is delivered as a digital gift card, and the amounts and expiry are set per market as described on the individual market pages.
