Ortel Mobile Germany gift cards

The Ortel Mobile card adds prepaid credit to a German mobile number and is aimed at customers who prefer not to sign a contract or who lack a German bank account. It runs on the Telefonica network, so it works with phones locked to that network and in most of the country.

You can choose 15, 20 or 30 EUR per card. The credit has no stated expiry, but it sits on an account controlled by the recipient's own tariff conditions, so a heavy data user may burn through it faster than expected.

Recipients redeem by entering a 16-digit code on their phone keypad or by calling 1155 and following the prompts. The credit is then added to their Ortel Mobile account. It is single-purpose: it can only be used to top up Ortel Mobile, not as cash or with other payment methods.

This card makes sense when you need to give telecom credit to people in Germany without sharing a bank account, such as paying a research participant, covering a contractor's phone costs, or rewarding a team member who uses a prepaid SIM. Because Ortel Mobile uses the Telefonica network, recipients on other networks cannot use this credit. The card is only for German numbers and is not interchangeable with any other country's Ortel product.
