Red Lantern is Luke Nguyen's flagship Vietnamese restaurant in Darlinghurst, Sydney, known for aromatic, produce-led cooking built on family recipes. A Red Lantern gift card is not a generic dining voucher: it sends someone to a specific, well-regarded table in inner Sydney. For a business rewarding employees, contractors, or customers who are local or visiting, that matters more than a card that works anywhere but nowhere distinctive.

The card is issued in Australian dollars with fixed denominations from $50 to $500. It is valid for three years from issue and can be redeemed only at Red Lantern, 60 Riley Street, Darlinghurst. Recipients can use up to $1,000 in gift cards per transaction, per table, so a group can combine several cards. Gift cards are treated as cash: lost or stolen cards cannot be replaced, and cards cannot be returned or exchanged for cash.

For payouts to people in Australia, this card works best when you know the recipient is near Sydney or will be, or when you want to treat someone to a specific experience rather than give them flexible spending. A remote team spread across Perth, Melbourne, and Brisbane would find a single-restaurant card less useful, but a sales incentive for a Sydney-based team or a thank-you to a client hosting a dinner in Darlinghurst fits well.
