About Sony Playstation South Africa
The Sony PlayStation card for South Africa is a wallet top-up for a South African PlayStation Network account. It lets recipients purchase downloadable games, game add-ons and other content from the South African PlayStation Store on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PS Vita or PSP.
Face values are in South African rand at 250, 500, 1000, 1500 and 2000 ZAR. There is no custom amount option. No expiry is listed for the card, and the redemption instructions confirm that the gift card does not expire.
To redeem, the recipient opens or creates a Sony Entertainment Network account, then from a PS4, PS3, PS Vita or PSP system or a personal computer goes to PlayStation Store, clicks “Redeem Codes”, enters the code and confirms. The value is added to their PSN wallet.
This card is South Africa only and does not work in neighbouring markets or on accounts registered elsewhere. For a South African recipient it is a straightforward way to fund a specific game or a PlayStation Plus subscription, but it is not suitable for international recipients.
Businesses can send this card through GIFQ in bulk from the dashboard or one at a time through the API. It is a good fit for paying South African earners, incentivising employees, or rewarding customers who play on PlayStation.
From product selection to delivery
For a direct order, your business chooses this product, its value and the quantity. Review the card details alongside the recipient’s needs before including it in a bulk order or an integration.
Check the market and value
The card details show the values and currency for this product. Use those to choose an amount that fits your budget and the recipient’s market. For a different country, explore the brand’s other market listings.
Prepare the recipient’s instructions
Use the brand’s instructions to prepare a clear handover to the recipient, including any account or redemption-channel requirements. Ask our team about expiry if it is not listed, then include that information with the reward.
Choose direct ordering or recipient choice
If you need this particular card, order the selected product and value through the dashboard or API. If you want the person to choose the brand, confirm the options available for that payout before presenting the selection.
Start with a small order
Test the flow with a small order and keep its reference. Check the status before repeating a request that appears delayed. In an integration, connect the GIFQ order to your own record so your team can follow up on delivery questions.
