Subway gift cards by market

About Subway

Subway is a familiar option across North America: a quick, dependable meal where the recipient chooses exactly what goes into their sandwich, wrap, or salad. For a business, that choice makes the card feel more personal than a fixed menu reward, while still being easy to send at scale. GIFQ offers Subway cards for two markets: the United States and Canada.

Each market has its own card. The Subway USA card is loaded in US dollars and works at participating restaurants in the United States and Canada, as well as online and in the Subway App. The Subway Canada card is loaded in Canadian dollars and is accepted in both countries. A card bought for one market is not interchangeable with the other, so the recipient's location, not just their nationality, should guide your choice. If a recipient travels between the two countries, the cross-border acceptance is a useful fallback, but the loaded currency remains fixed. Amounts range from 5 to 250 in each market's currency, with any value in between, and neither card expires.

This brand works well for everyday rewards: a meal during a busy week, a small thank-you after a study, or part of a lunch allowance. It is less suited to premium rewards, but its wide acceptance and flexibility make it a safe default when you need to send something practical that nearly anyone can use. In the US, Subway's footprint is extensive, so most recipients will find a location nearby; in Canada the network is also strong, though slightly thinner in some rural areas. It is a good fit for people who value convenience over luxury.

To decide which market to send, look at where your recipient usually eats. If they are based in the US, the USA card in USD is the natural choice. If they are in Canada, the CAD card avoids any mental conversion and matches what they see on menus. For a team spread across both countries, you can run two separate sends from the same GIFQ dashboard, each in the right currency.

Through GIFQ, you can send Subway cards one at a time or in bulk. The dashboard handles lists for payroll, research incentives, or customer rewards, and the API lets you trigger a card from your own system when a user completes an action. Each market's page lists exact amounts, redemption details, and any restrictions, so check the market page before sending.
