For a recipient in the UK, this is effectively a flexible travel fund: it can be used towards flights, rail journeys, cruises, package holidays, ferry crossings and experience days, depending on what each participating brand accepts at checkout. Companies choose it when they want to give people a broad travel benefit without tying them to a single operator or a fixed trip.

Cards are issued in GBP and can be loaded with any amount from £0.01 to £1,000. The balance is valid for 24 months from purchase. There are no fixed denominations, so a business can send exactly the amount that matches a payout, a bonus or a campaign budget. The card can be used in multiple transactions until the balance is used up, and if a purchase costs more than the remaining credit, the recipient pays the difference with another payment method.

Redeeming the card is straightforward: the recipient enters the card code at the checkout of a participating travel brand's website or booking flow. The card is non-returnable and non-refundable. This makes it suitable for people who are already planning travel or who are happy to receive a travel-specific reward. It is less well suited to a remote workforce that cannot easily travel or to recipients who would prefer cash or a general-purpose prepaid card.

Businesses send Travelgift cards through GIFQ either in bulk from the dashboard or one at a time via the API. Typical uses include paying out earnings to UK-based freelancers or research participants, rewarding a sales team with a travel incentive, or thanking customers with something more memorable than a voucher for a single retailer. Because the card covers a wide range of travel brands, it works for many different travel preferences within one programme.

This card is only for use in the United Kingdom and is not interchangeable with any other Travelgift card that may exist for other countries. A business sending this card should confirm that recipients are UK-based and can pay any balance difference using a UK payment method.
