Uber New Zealand gift cards

The Uber New Zealand gift card is a practical way to cover rides and Uber Eats orders for people in NZ. It is credited to the recipient's Uber account as Uber Cash, which they can spend on transport or food delivery wherever those services operate in the country. For a workforce spread across Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch, this works as a single benefit that adapts to each person's daily routine.

You can issue any amount from NZD 25 to NZD 500. The card expires 3 years from activation, and any remaining balance is lost after that. It is not reloadable and cannot be exchanged for cash except where required by law.

To redeem, the recipient opens the account menu in the Uber or Uber Eats app, taps Wallet, taps the add funds button on the Uber Cash card, selects the gift card option, and enters the code. The balance is then available for future rides and food orders. There is no physical card to handle, so the code can be delivered by email or through your own system.

This card is only for New Zealand and is not interchangeable with Uber gift cards for Australia, the United Kingdom, or any other market. If you have recipients in multiple countries, each needs the appropriate local card.

Through GIFQ, you can send Uber New Zealand cards in bulk from the dashboard to a list of employees or research participants, or issue them one at a time through the API whenever a payout is due. It is a straightforward way to provide transport or meal credit without managing receipts.
