How fast does a participant actually get paid?+

Median delivery is under 30 seconds from the moment a participant submits a study to the moment a redeemable code lands in their inbox. Cross-border crypto payouts take a few minutes for chain confirmation. There is no batch overnight cycle — it is event-driven.

What countries and currencies do you cover for global panels?+

100+ countries, 40+ currencies, 5,000+ local brands. A panelist in Manila gets a Manila-relevant catalog by default. You can lock the catalog to specific countries per study, or open it to the global pool. Crypto and prepaid Visa are universal fallbacks for any country.

How does this work with IRB and ethics-board compliance?+

GIFQ is the payouts vendor, not your IRB — we don’t approve study protocols or recipient consent. What we do: keep a per-study audit log, support per-participant opt-out, expose only the data finance needs (no demographic linkage), and accept any consent flow your IRB requires before you trigger a payout. Most academic teams pair us with a Qualtrics or REDCap consent screen upstream.

How do you handle GDPR and participant PII?+

Participant emails are encrypted at rest and stripped from any non-essential export. We support data subject deletion requests within 30 days and EU data residency on request. Per-study exports can be configured to redact PII for finance, leaving only payout amount, GL code and study ID.

Can finance enforce per-study budget caps and reconcile cleanly?+

Yes. Set a hard cap per study — GIFQ stops payouts the moment it’s reached and notifies the study owner. Every payout is tagged with study ID, GL code and cost center. Export per-study CSV at any time, or push directly to NetSuite, QuickBooks or Xero. Finance gets one structured invoice per month, not 200 PayPal line items.

How does the UserInterviews integration work?

Via our REST API and webhooks. GIFQ subscribes to UserInterviews session-completion webhooks and triggers the configured payout automatically. You can map session types to payout amounts (e.g. 30-min interview = $50, 60-min = $100), and reconcile back to the UserInterviews study ID for finance. Setup is typically a few hours of dev work using our prebuilt API recipe.

How does the Prolific integration work?+

Via webhooks. GIFQ subscribes to Prolific submission webhooks, runs the configured payout, and writes the GIFQ payout ID back to the Prolific submission record. Useful when you want to pay panelists in something more interesting than the default Prolific currency — local brands, prepaid Visa, or crypto.
