About education & learning gift cards

Education & Learning cards give recipients access to courses, language lessons, and skill development. They suit payouts and incentives where the recipient should gain something lasting: rewarding employees for upskilling, thanking customers with a learning resource, compensating research participants with a useful benefit, or motivating a sales team with personal development. The main shortfall is that these cards are single-purpose, tied to one learning platform or brand, and many are not redeemable outside specific countries. A remote workforce spread across regions will need different cards per market.

The category has more than 5 brands, mostly language learning and online course platforms. Babbel offers structured lessons in 14 languages and works well for teams that need a common language baseline. Duolingo is the gamified option, good for casual learners but less suited to formal training. eLearnGift provides a marketplace with multiple course providers, giving recipients choice in topics like business, technology, or personal development. BABBEL for Business and Babbel.com are corporate and direct variants of the Babbel card, useful when you want to standardize on one provider.

Germany carries the most brands, followed by France. Austria, Belgium, Spain, Finland, Italy, and the Netherlands each have a couple of options. Coverage varies: a Babbel card may work in many countries, while eLearnGift is more limited. Before you commit to a program, check the supported countries on each card's page. A recipient in Brazil cannot use a card that only redeems in the Eurozone.

Face values start low enough for a trial lesson but stretch high enough for a full course. In euros, cards range from 20 EUR to 5000 EUR. Emirati dirham cards go from 500 AED to 5000 AED. Argentine peso cards start at 20000 ARS and go up to 1000000 ARS. The spread covers a single month of language learning or a multi-course curriculum, though not every brand offers the full range.

You can send these cards through GIFQ in bulk from the dashboard or one at a time through the API. A company launching a language training initiative might give every employee a Babbel card. A research project on adult learning could compensate participants with an eLearnGift voucher. An influencer program could offer Duolingo as a light-touch reward. If you need a card that works across many types of purchases, Electronics or Retail & Marketplaces may be a better fit. For a purely flexible payout, look at Prepaid & Payment Cards.
