GIFQ offers B&Q cards in two markets: the United Kingdom and Ireland. The UK card is loaded in pounds sterling and works at diy.com and in B&Q's UK stores. The Ireland card is loaded in euros and works at diy.ie and in B&Q's Irish stores. Each market is a separate card: a UK card cannot be spent in Ireland, and an Irish card cannot be spent in the UK.
Amounts and validity are set per market. In the UK the card can be loaded with any amount from 1 to 1000 GBP, or with a fixed value of 10, 25, 50 or 100 GBP, and the balance is valid for 5 years. Choosing the right market comes down to where the recipient is based or where they will shop. If they live in England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland, the UK card is the appropriate choice. If they live in the Republic of Ireland, the Ireland card is the one to send. Recipients can only redeem a card in the country it was issued for.
