There are no fees mentioned in the terms, and the card is nonrefundable and cannot be exchanged for cash. If a recipient loses the card, it will not be replaced, so make sure delivery is reliable.

To redeem, the recipient presents the card at the register at a participating GetGo, Giant Eagle, Giant Eagle Market District, or WetGo Car Wash location. The card must be present for every purchase, so it is not suited to online or app-only orders. There is one quirk worth knowing: buying gift cards at Giant Eagle with this card does not earn fuelperks, but redeeming the card itself for fuel or groceries does earn fuelperks for the recipient. That can feel like a small extra bonus.

Through GIFQ, you can send GetGo cards in bulk to anyone in the United States. The cards are delivered digitally, and each recipient gets a unique card with its own value. This works well for paying out earnings to gig workers or research participants who live in GetGo's operating states, or for rewarding field employees and drivers. If your recipients are spread across the US and not in those states, this card will be less useful for them because redemption is tied to physical GetGo and Giant Eagle locations.

This card is also a reasonable thank-you for customers or partners in GetGo's service area, especially if you want something more practical than a generic gift card.
