GIFQ offers Smartbox cards in two markets: Spain and Italy. Each market has its own card with its own currency, amounts, and validity. A card bought for Spain only works in Spain and cannot be redeemed in Italy, and the same applies the other way around. This separation matters for businesses paying people in both countries: you need to send the right market's card to each recipient.

In Spain, the card is issued in euros with fixed values of 10, 50, and 100 EUR and is valid for 6 months. In Italy, it is also in euros but with values of 25, 50, and 100 EUR and a 12-month validity. These amounts are set per market and cannot be changed. Check the individual market pages for exchange details and any other conditions before ordering.

Choosing the right market for a recipient is straightforward: match the card to the country where the recipient will redeem it, not where your company is based. If you have team members in both Spain and Italy, you can send a bulk order that includes the appropriate market's card for each person, all from the same GIFQ dashboard. Or you can issue them one at a time through the API, which is useful when your platform triggers payouts automatically.

Smartbox fits well as a reward for employees, customers, or partners in Spain and Italy, especially if your goal is to give an experience rather than cash. It is less suited to everyday necessities or as compensation that the recipient might need to cover living costs.
